Question

Dear Doctor Brew,
Is it possible to brew less than a full pot of coffee with this (VPR Series) maker? My wife likes flavored coffee but would like to be able to make 4-6 cups at a time.
Please let me know the process if it is doable.
Thanks
Barry

Answer

Dear Barry,

Yes, you can brew less than a full brew with this series of coffee brewer. The water pour-in pitcher provided with the brewer may have a full line (64 ounces) marked on it. If this is the case, simply pour in the number of cups your wife wants to brew and mark the outside of the pitcher with a permanent marker or tape. I would suggest that half a pitcher (32 ounces) should be the minimum. The brew contact time will be reduced due to less water so you may need to experiment with the amount of coffee grounds for a satisfying brew.

Happy Brewing,
Dr. Brew
