Why do I need to clean my coffee brewer? The water is hot so it basically cleans itself every time I brew a pot of coffee.
Has this thought ever crossed your mind? While all BUNN brewers brew coffee at the ideal brewing temperature of 200 degrees you still need to perform routine deep cleaning on your brewer. Water contains minerals and impurities that over time can accumulate in your brewer. These deposits can cause issues such as slow brew cycles, coffee with an "off" taste, and could ultimately lead to a shorter life span for your machine. The good news is that routine deep cleaning can help prevent build up of impurities. We recommend cleaning your brewer at least every 3 months.
