Reflections from Coffee & Tea Festival NYC

They say that New York City is 'the city that never sleeps' and with the incredible turnout at the Coffee & Tea Festival NYC, I can certainly imagine why!!

This past weekend, I took my first trip to the Big Apple to engage with thousands of attendees at the festival.  Here are some observations from my trip:

  1. The American Northwest isn't the only place to find people who are serious about their coffee; New Yorkers know what they want from a cup of joe!
  2. For New Yorkers looking to brew a great cup, My Caf MCU has two excellent advantages (1) its versatility to brew pods, ground coffee/loose tea, and K Cup Cartridges and (2) its small countertop footprint which means you save on space- something you have to do when living in a city with 9 million other people!
  3. New Yorkers know great design when they see it!  The Coffee & Tea Festival NYC, at the 69th Regiment Armory on Lexington Ave., was fairly close to the Garment District which is home to a lot of chic people and stores.
  4. Even though Philadelphia is the city of brotherly love, New Yorkers can really pull together to help each other out in times of need.  When our booth ran dry of creamer, other vendors at the festival pitched in and provided some!

For a small-town boy in the big city, my first time was a wonderful experience highlighted by great people, great places, and especially great coffee!  Thanks to all of those who helped coordinate the event and we look forward to seeing you again next year!
