Answers to what your future holds could be found in the bottom of your cup.  That's according to a divination practice referred to as Tasseography.   Tasseography is the practice of interpreting patterns in tea leaves or coffee grounds in a cup after drinking it.   (Tea is the most prominent source followed by coffee, and sometimes wine sediments.)

I know coffee and tea are used for many reasons, from providing relief for bug bites, to being an active ingredient in beauty regiments, but predicting your future?!- I had no idea!

It's June 21 and summer is officially here!  The warm temperatures are creeping across the US , and everyone is turning to ice cold beverages to beat the heat.  The BUNN Home Products Division is no different.  We've been trading in our regular coffee and tea for iced versions.   Janice, the Credit Administrator for the Home Products Division, is an avid tea drinker, and brought in fresh raspberries to share with the department for a tasty, summer snack.   This got us thinking;  could we create an iced tea with these ripe, in-season berries?

In the summer mosquito bites are irritating and so itchy!   If you're like me by the end of the summer you legs will be filled with the pesky, itching, swollen bites.  I'll try anything to take away the itch.

I recently discovered an article on RealSimple.com that alleged cooled tea bags could be used as a home remedy to take away the itch from mosquito bites.  I decided to give it a try.

Ok question time.  When you want a cup of tea how do you prepare it?

If you're like me you get some very hot water, throw in some loose leaf tea or a tea bag, wait a few minutes and voli... your cup of tea is done.

I was shocked to find that my technique required drastic improvement!

I am a creature of habit.  Every morning I eat the same breakfast: an English muffin accompanied by a cup of coffee (brewed in my BUNN My Caf MCU of course) with a splash of cream.  My habitual afternoon pick-me-up: a latte.   However, the past couple weeks I've been breaking the mold and trading in my afternoon latte for a tea latte.

I first heard about tea lattes from our in house specialty tea adicionado, Kris Houser.   I love lattes, so naturally I was intrigued by this beverage and decided to test it.

SUMMER IS HERE!  It is probably inevitable that at some point this summer you're going to brew up a batch of tea, pour it over ice and sip it to quench your thirst and cool you off on a hot day.

Do you reach for the sugar or sweetener to give your morning cup of coffee a little sweetness?  You're not alone, according to KitchenDaily.com "30% of coffee drinkers sweeten their coffee with sugar or some other form of sweetener."

Since January is National Hot Tea Month, its a great time to learn more about this ancient and increasingly popular beverage. For more than 5,000 years people have been enchanted with tea. From Tanzanian black tea to green tea from Chinas Hunan province, there is a great variety of teas available. Surprisingly, all teas (except for herbal teas) come from the Camellia sinensis plant. How the leaves of the tea plant are processed and their level of contact with oxygen actually determines the type of tea.
