As the start of classes creeps closer the annual creating of the list of must have items for the school year begins and you can bet most of those lists include laptops, tablets, text books, dorm room accessories, new clothes but would you believe that coffee, or at least the best place to get coffee would be on that list as well?

Over the next few weeks kids will be trading in the lazy summer days for early mornings as they head back to school.

As a parent you may be excited about your kids going back to school. No more shuttling them from one day camp to another; no more phone calls at work with your kids bickering about who knows what siblings bicker about, and needing you to play referee from your office.   Soon you and your children will be settling into a normal schedule.

The hottest trend in coffee is cold, cold brew that is.

Like any emerging phenomenon, you should first learn what cold brew coffee is exactly. It shouldn’t be confused with iced coffee. Iced coffee is hot coffee or espresso allowed to cool and then served over ice. Cold brew coffee is just what it sounds like it is, coffee grounds steeped in room-temperature water for up to 24-hours which produces a concentrated coffee that is then diluted with water, usually by 50%, and served chilled.

On April 1, harmless pranks are played on family, friends and even co-workers for April Fools' Day.

Below are some pranks that we brainstormed that involve coffee.    We can just hear your mischievous laugh now, that’s why we like to call these pranks #BrewHaHa.

Warning: We don’t encourage these, as you may incite anger with your family, friends or coworkers if you mess with their coffee. Do at your own risk. :)

Happy April Fool’s Day!
