Location: Springfield, IL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide technical support and assist production departments in troubleshooting and failure mode effects analysis of processes and products. Design and implement process controls to reduce variation and eliminate defects. Initiate root cause analysis and drive corrective action process. Manage the nonconforming material process and verify effective corrective actions. Support Quality Assurance Auditors & Inspectors w/ project management. Develop and maintain QA documents to support BUNN ISO 9001 standards. Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency using drafting tools and computer. Record or oversee recording of information. Evaluate precision and accuracy of production and testing equipment and engineering drawings to formulate corrective action plan. Analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished product. Estimate production costs, cost saving methods, and the effects of product design changes on expenditures for management review, action, and control.
Job Requirements: Master of Science in Quality Engineering, Engineering Management, or closely-related field; coursework, training, or experience evidencing strong understanding of Six Sigma methodologies in the manufacturing context, Lean Manufacturing, ISO9001, and AutoCAD; and strong working knowledge of quality assurance in the manufacturing industry.
Salary: $78,200
