Corporate Citizenship

An integral part of the BUNN primary mission goes beyond simply ensuring employee job satisfaction. The organization is committed to enabling employees to lead productive, balanced lives for the betterment of families and communities. By equally fostering a dedication to people as well as overall company performance, a working culture exists that is rare in today's business world: high rates of tenure are the norm rather than the exception.

ABUNNdant Garden Returns: For the third straight year Springfield hosted the ABUNNdant Garden project spearheaded by the Development Guild. In early May, teams of Springfield employees and their families gathered for the annual planting day with each department responsible for a specific vegetable. Once planting was completed the maintenance department chipped in by installing a fence to protect this year’s crop. As in the past, all produce grown will be donated to the Illinois Food Bank.  In a three year period BUNN has donated over 4,000 pounds of produce grown from the garden.

Development Guild -- The BUNN Development Guild was launched in 2012 to engage emerging professionals in identifying and executing initiatives that can foster measureable improvements in the lives of the under-served population in the community or industry. Twenty-one employees were selected through an application and interview process conducted by the company's Community Outreach Steering Committee. The successful candidates pledged to a three-year term on the Guild. Another aspect of the Guild is professional development. The group regularly engages in meeting sessions with company leaders to learn more about topics such as personal brand building and lean manufacturing as well as internal business processes and long-term strategic goals. Other activities include testing productivity tools for the company and a reading group.

BUNN actively engages with professional industry organizations to support important educational and legislative initiatives. We are also proud to support organizations doing important work in coffee and tea producing countries through volunteerism and sponsorship.

Recognizing that our business operation impacts the total environment, the Respect Earth® initiative reflects BUNN’s continuing focus on preserving the Earth for future generations throughout our supply chain. We are driven to continually incorporate this respect for our natural resources into our daily business practices and products.
